Are You "In-Training", Or Are Your Just "Training?"

 
I think the best way to explain it is, being in training means you are training with intentionality. Sometimes when I see people training or working out, it seems like they don’t really have much intention, it seems like they’re going through the motions. When you’re training, you should be on a mission. As a martial artist, your mission is to stay safe, and healthy.  You don’t have to have a UFC title fight coming up in the near future, but the next time you get out of your car and going to 7-Eleven, do you know for 100% certainty that you will not get jumped? This has nothing to do with being paranoid, this has to do with being a martial artist, and having a martial artists mindset.
 
If you’re training, and you’re spending the time and energy, you might as well take it to the next level and be “in-training”.
