I named the Claymore mine hook after the actual "Claymore mine" which basically protects the soldier's perimeter, play being ignited when the enemy tries to Infiltrate his perimeter. Like this famous American military land mine, this particular left took does the same thing to your perimeter out on the street if someone is attacking you, or for that matter in a cage if someone is trying to take your UFC title from you. Your hands are in a certain position, and anytime someone crosses the perimeter, your left tuck engages immediately. The target is usually the chin, and one of the main skills to have for a successful Claymore mine hook would be to not telegraph.
