NoTime To Train?

Uncategorized Jul 03, 2023

Is Time ever an obstacle to getting into top shape?

NO! Time alone is snapper a valid excuse for not being or staying in top shade. It could very well be an obstacle if you're trying to be a high-level, MMA fighter, especially trying to make it in the UFC, but for a martial artist, whose goal is to be in good shape, and be proficient enough to protect himself, and his family time is never an excuse for not being able to accomplish those goals.

I've been training people, including myself since 1985, I've trained high-level, busy surgeons in Los Angeles, high-level, busy lawyers, very prominent businessman, actors, working parents, working students, some of the busiest people ever, but every single one of them who prioritized their training, found the time to train.

I don't think I know anyone busier than tony robbins. He feeds over 1 billion people a year, he does multiple 3 to 7 day seminars all over the world where he's on stage nonstop 12 hours every single day, and when he's not on stage he's at home Taking care of his multiple businesses. Tony Robbins prioritizes his training, and he does it every day. I don't know anyone who is busier than tony, robbins, and I seriously doubt if anyone making the excuse of being too busy it's busier than he is.

What are the downfalls of not training? Here's a couple, but all of them by themselves should be enough of a reason to make the time to train. The main downfall of not training is being unhealthy and getting sick. Another downfall is being injured, much more easily, because your muscles, bones, ligaments, and tendons are going to be much weaker. being unproductive in your job, or school, or even being a parent because you don't have the energy to be productive. And having a lack of energy is one of the downfalls of non-training and staying fit. And it's weird because the most important downfall of not training, it's probably gonna be the most uncommon one. In other words the chances of getting attacked, even though they're much higher these days, then they have been in any time in my life. But your chances of getting attacked don't concern many people because it's not gonna happen very often, so they're able to justify not training because they're lumped into the group of people that think "it'll never happen to me". They're right in many cases, but when they're wrong, it's too late. You're probably not gonna get in a car accident either, but I bet you fasten your seatbelts and you like having airbags. Basically the biggest downfall I think I've not training is because you're much easier to be killed in a street attack, and the chances of you getting sick and dying. How much greater if you don't train. Those two downfalls alone seem like a pretty good reason to start training.

Nobody in this country does not have the time to train, they only lack the discipline and the motivation. The average male spends over four hours every single day in front of a screen, not work related, and the average woman spends close to an hour, a day, putting on her, make up and fixing her hair. So it's pretty obvious that it's not a priority to the majority of people out there, and for people that think it is a charity, but don't do it for whatever other reason, they just lack discipline, there's no other reason. Not thinking it's necessary, not making it a priority, and not having the discipline to train is like somebody, jumping out of a plane without a parachute the second they stepped foot out of the plane it's too late, the second someone who doesn't train gets attacked, it's too late. Very simple time management would make it so every American can be in top shape. Every American can be stronger and fitter, and able to protect themselves and their family. It takes a small sacrifice, and just a little bit of discipline, but for some reason we have become so decadent, lazy, and weak as a nation, putting in that little effort for such a huge reward is just too much for the average American. It's very sad but it's true.

So, instead of just being negative and chastising, everyone, I want to help everyone out there. Take a seriously look at your day, see where you can fit in an hour, and if that means you have to cut down on your putting on make up, or playing video games, then, so be it. Get some simple techniques that could protect you, or your family, check out my YouTube channel, or someone else's, even though mine is the best. Always warm up for about 10 minutes. That means move slow, jumping jacks, a slow jog, some arm, circles, neck, circles, Shadowboxing. Then spend about 20 minutes working on some self-defense techniques, whether it be striking, take downs, take down the fence, hitting a bag, grappling with a partner. Now you got 30 minutes to work on your strength and cardio that could change every day, I'll give you a few examples, maybe one day do 100 squats for time, then do five minutes of purpose as many as you can, and keep the numbers written down, so you can always try to do better the next time. Remember, you're trying to beat yourself every single workout, no one else just yourself. you might be really pressed for time one day, then the shadow box with all the techniques practicing for 10 minutes, then do seven minutes of Burpee's as many as you can in seven minutes, and again, keep track of that number because you always want to get more. Those are some examples, but you can contact me and I can give you hundreds more. The two main things you have to remember when planning your workout routine, especially if you're busy, is discipline, and creativity.

Well, the rest is up to you guys. I gave you some really good examples of ways to train on a "time budget". Motivation is a funny word, because if you have a family, and you're not motivated to train to be able to protect them, I really don't know what to say. If you don't have a family, and you're not motivated to train to stay more productive and healthy, again, I'm at a loss for words. So I hope you could take some of this and start your training. If you have any questions, or need any advice, or even motivation, please feel free to contact me. The best way would be on Instagram as a message. My Instagram is @pit_master

Live clean and train, hard, and don't let anyone take your lunch money.
